On Friday 30th June, staff from across GRG Waste UK competed in the annual Waste World Cup in aid of Waste Aid at Beaconsfield Rugby Club.

The team were drawn in Group E, and beat Augean, URM Essex, Sharpsmart UK, and Shred Station in the group stages, winning 4-2, 1-0, and 1-0 in the morning games.

GRG Waste UK were then set to face FCC, the Waste World Cup 2022 winners. After losing 2-0 at half time, the team managed to score in the second half, but unfortunately it wasn't to be. The game finished 2-1, and GRG Waste UK were knocked out in the Quarter Finals.
