Greenway Environmental is proud to announce the opening of its brand-new hazardous waste management site in Rochester, Kent. The new facility is a major development that strengthens their commitment to providing safe and efficient hazardous waste solutions across the UK and is ideally located to improve transfrontier shipment capabilities.

The purpose-built site features high-capacity storage with 312 pallet warehouse storage, including 80 fully ATEX-rated pallet spaces for flammable materials, up to 96 pallet undercover reception intake and up to 96 pallet undercover dispatch area. The increased capacity will help to accommodate the increasing demand for innovative and sustainable recovery routes for hazardous wastes.

Specialist storage zones within the facility ensure segregation, compliance, and risk mitigation for a variety of hazardous waste classes and were strategically designed with technological advancements. These include fully ATEX-rated fire detection in our flammable storage area, thermal camera system across the entire warehouse with focused coverage of reception and dispatch bays, and state-of-the-art alarm systems for both warehouse and office areas to ensure around-the-clock security.
