Novum donate £2000 to Mind St Helens in aid of Mental Health Awareness Week
This Mental Health Awareness Week, Novum have teamed up with Mind, specifically Mind St Helens, who provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing mental health problems. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness, and promote understanding.
Phil Thomas, Commercial Director at Novum Waste Recycling, met up with Anita Harris of Mind UK to donate £2000 to the charity. The donation will fund new IT equipment at their office in St Helens so that the charity can continue to provide an efficient service to those seeking help.
Phil Thomas believes "there should be no stigma, and nobody should be defined by their mental health. I have seen friends, family and work colleagues effected by poor mental health. When anxiety gets too much, support is needed to ensure we feel valued, accepted and very much part of a family, whether that be at home, in work or the wider community. Mind St Helens offer much-needed support to help to these people."
