Following a £1.5 million investment by Chloros Environmental for a bespoke design waste transfer facility in Hartlebury, Worcestershire in 2019, GRG Waste UK have continued to make key investments to improve service, compliance, and environmental performance.

With a diverse network of offtake partners, Novum Waste Recycling was established in late 2021 to meet the ever-increasing demand for sustainable treatment solutions for problematic streams.

Since inception, Novum has opened 14 trans frontier shipment (TFS) routes, enabling GRG companies to offer R-code solutions for a range of unique specialist materials, with a further 12 applications to go live by the end of 2023.

In January 2023, the highly anticipated closed-loop aerosol recycling plant was installed at Greenway Environmental’s site in Bootle, Liverpool. This capability offers 100% gas capture, waste-to-energy, and landfill diversion, turning an otherwise challenging waste stream into a true circular economy.

The facility utilises BAT [best available technology] to separate the components and is the only complete R-code aerosol recycling solution that meets stringent regulations on hazardous waste disposal, worker safety, and greenhouse gas emissions.

To add to the group’s growing in-house treatment capabilities, BKP Waste and Recycling recently invested in an Industrial Packaging Decontamination Process. Designed to handle a wide range of chemical contaminants and materials, the process allows maximum reuse of large containers and recycling of plastic and steel components.  

Investments are ongoing with major site developments taking place at their site in Romsey, including the construction of high solid wash out bays, enabling the group to accept and treat high solid tanker loads requiring dig out by appointment to improve customer experience and service offering.
