BKP’s brand-new Transfer Station is now open for business!
As part of ongoing upgrades and site developments, BKP Waste & Recycling have constructed a brand-new waste transfer station at their site in Romsey to allow for an additional 250 tonnes of permitted segregated hazardous packaged waste storage.
Compliance is at the forefront of the new waste storage facility, and was designed in-line CIRIA 736, HSG51, HSG71, and the highest standards of engineering and design. Custom fire curtains and concrete walls between storage locations designed in accordance with BS8110 ensure all waste is safe and compliant prior to onward shipment within the GRG group or to an overseas partner for recovery.
The new transfer station includes individual bunding by hazard for all packaged waste storage locations as segregated secondary. The additional tertiary containment for site storage locations gives more than 4 times the volume of containment as recommended by the EA Fire Prevention Plan Guidance with custom bund walls and roller bunds, allowing vehicles to leave and enter the site.
Our recently varied environmental permit allows us to accept a wide range of EWCs for treatment or repacking, so please get in touch with sales@bkpgroup.com or your account manager to benefit from our fully compliant waste transfer station and increased volume of waste storage.
